Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu Perak Darul Ridzuan (MAIPk), who is also called as The Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council was located at the Jalan Bukit Ganting Wahab, 30000, Ipoh, Perak. It served as the government guidance department to the Sultan of Perak in the past. Further, to streamline the administration of Islam and Malay customs in the State of the Perak, and also revised the law related to & guaranteed it. Nowadays, the department usually enforced Enactment No.4 of 2004 on 15 September 2004 which remains the force now. 

Meanwhile, the Zakat that is focused by the MAIPk is one of the five pillars of Islam that aims to redistribute wealth between rich and poor and to purify the wealth of Zakat payers. There are 2 types of Zakat: Zakat Fitrah and Zakat Harta Tithes.
